Reading is important. Even if you’re reading comics, or as we adults call them, “graphic novels”. When we read, we reap the benefits. Whether it’s the simple pleasure from good fiction, learning something new, or opening your imagination to new possibilities, insights and perspectives that would otherwise have gone unnoticed in today’s 140 character attention span. So I implore you all, set aside your deeply held Dunning–Kruger effect and pick up a book. Any book will do. Read it, and come away knowing that you’re a little better off after finishing it than before you started.
